The Throwers Podcast is proud to continue its series of long form interviews with arguably the greatest throwing coach of all time, Art Venegas. This interview was conducted at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California. Hear Coach Venegas talk about his days growing up in Mexico and how he was driven to become the greatest coach in NCAA history, coaching 33 individual NCAA Champions and 178 All-Americans while at UCLA. He tells many stories as only Coach Venegas can and shares opinions on just about everything that relates to the throws. Coach also shares some great personal stories including how he once got pepper sprayed on the side of a Los Angeles Freeway! At nearly two hours, this is the longest interview we have done but it is worth every minute.
